Legal
Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully before using PlainWeb. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (\"Terms\") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (or the entity you represent, \"Customer\") and PlainWeb (\"PlainWeb\", \"we\", \"our\", or \"us\") governing your access to and use of the PlainWeb platform, including all features, APIs, and content (collectively, the \"Service\"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. The Service
PlainWeb provides a SaaS platform that allows web professionals to automatically analyse client websites and generate branded PDF maintenance reports. The Service includes:
- Automated website analysis (performance, SSL, uptime, broken links)
- Integration with Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4
- AI-generated report summaries
- White-label PDF report generation and delivery
- Sub-account management (Agency plan)
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice for material changes.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to use the Service. Accounts may not be shared with or transferred to third parties.
4. Free Trial
PlainWeb offers a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required at signup. During the trial:
- You have full access to all features of your chosen plan
- Your payment method is verified but not charged
- Your first charge occurs automatically on day 15 (after the trial ends)
By starting the trial, you authorise PlainWeb to automatically charge your payment method at the end of the 14-day period unless you cancel before day 15. If you cancel before the trial ends, no charge is applied. Trial data is retained for 30 days after cancellation before deletion.

- Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 7-day grace period
- You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis
Plan changes
You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. We do not issue partial-month refunds for downgrades.
6. Cancellation & Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Account deletion is available from Settings. Upon deletion, your data is scheduled for removal within 30 days, except billing records retained for legal compliance.
- We may terminate your account immediately for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment after notice. We may also suspend your account while investigating suspected violations.
- Effect of termination: upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. We are not liable for any loss resulting from termination for cause.
7. Right of Withdrawal (EU / EEA Consumers)
If you reside in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within a period of 14 days without the need for justification ("Withdrawal Period").
Exception — digital services initiated: at the time of purchase you will be asked to expressly confirm (via a mandatory checkbox) that you request the immediate start of the service and that you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has begun to be provided. By checking this checkbox, you waive this right from the start of the service.
If you do not check the checkbox, we will not be able to process the payment.
To exercise the right of withdrawal (in cases where applicable), send us a clear statement to legal@plainweb.io before the Withdrawal Period expires.
In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received without undue delay and within a maximum period of 14 days from when we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Analyse websites you do not own or have express permission to monitor
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, our systems, or other users' accounts
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside of our official APIs
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the PlainWeb platform itself to third parties
- Engage in activity that excessively burdens our infrastructure
- Impersonate another person or organisation
Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
9. Intellectual Property

Your content & data: You retain all ownership rights to the data you input into the Service (client details, brand assets, website URLs). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.
Generated reports: PDF reports generated by the Service using your data and branding are yours to use, share, and distribute as you see fit.
10. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep the other's confidential information confidential and not to use it except as necessary to perform obligations under these Terms. This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED \"AS IS\" AND \"AS AVAILABLE\" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. WEBSITE ANALYSIS RESULTS (PERFORMANCE SCORES, SSL STATUS, UPTIME DATA) ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND MAY NOT REFLECT REAL-TIME SITE CONDITIONS.

- PLAINWEB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
- OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PLAINWEB IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
- THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PlainWeb and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third-party rights; or (c) your client data or content.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
EU/EEA residents: nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You may also bring claims before your local courts or relevant consumer protection authority. For online dispute resolution, the European Commission provides a platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PlainWeb
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
